Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson's The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn is a movie adaptation of Herge's classic comic-book series. Director Steven Spielberg, who acquired the rights for the movie right after Herge's death, has shot the movie digitally.Spielberg wanted to start the filming in 2008, but unforeseen delays pushed it to 2011.The script of the film is based on three stories: Red Rackham's Treasure, The Secret of the Unicorn and The Crab with the Golden Claws.The movie is being produced by Peter Jackson and written by Joe Cornish, Edgar Wright and Steven Moffat. Initially, Thomas Sangster was supposed to play Tintin delays made him opt out. Now, Jamie Bell will play the adventurous reporter. James Bond Daniel Craig will voice the character of Red Rackham, a pirate who attacks The Unicorn.While Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll's Andy Serkis will take on Tintin's trusted friend, Captain Haddock.Simon Pegg and Nick Frost will play the bumbling detectives Thomson and Thompson. The film is in the post-production stage and is slated to release in India on November 11, 2011.
